Beyoncé Giselle Knowles iscommonly known as Beyoncé, and is an American R&B singer-songwriter, record producer and she is also actress. She was raised in Houston, TX where, she went to performing arts school. Beyonce rose to fame in the late 1990s as the head singer of group Destiny's Child. She sold more than Fifty million records worldwide with Destiny's Child.

During the peak of the group's success, Knowles released her first solo album, called "Dangerously in Love", in June '03. This album spawned other number-one singles "Crazy in Love","Baby Boy", and became one of the most successful albums of 2003. It earned Beyonce five Grammy Awards in a single night in '04, thereafter she became recognized as a solo artist. The breakup of Destiny's Child in '05 lead to more success for her; and she released her second album, B'Day, in '06 and others later on.

The success of Beyonce's albums has established her as one of the most marketable artists in music, and she has taken her career product endorsement and even acting. She starred in the comedy film The Pink Panther in '06, and, later that year, played the lead role in the film version of the Broadway musical Dreamgirls, and received two Golden Globe nominations. Beyonce then earned her third Golden Globe nomination for "Best Original Song" for her work in the film Cadillac Records. Her fashion line, House of Deréon,was launched in 2004, and she began to endorse brands like Pepsi, and L'Oreal. Beyonce Knowles has been together with Jay-Z since '02, although they have been quite discreet about it. After years of speculation, they wed on April 4, '08. Beyonce was noted as being the second highest paid musician between '07 and June '08, with earnings of US$80 million.
